I will be running in the 2008 Chicago Marathon on October 12, 2008 in honor of my grandfather, Evel Knievel. I would appreciate anyone and everyone's support with this. I am looking to acquire sponsorship up until the day of the marathon. Since grandpa was 69 years old when he passed, I would like to collect $6.90 for every mile. Since there are 26 miles in the marathon, that will be $179.40 per sponsor. All proceeds will go to support research for a cure for Pulmonary Fibrosis, the disease my grandfather passed away from. If you would like to donate any amount, that would be very much appreciated as well. All sponsors who donate the set amount of $179.40 will be recognized on www.evelknievel.com and www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org. Also, I plan on taking this to the media. I will be contacting the newspapers and radio stations in Chicago about a month and a half before the marathon. Please make all checks payable to The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation 1332 N.
