When I heard the news that Evel Knievel had died I could not believe how it affected me. I don't normally feel any kind of emotion either way when a celebrity dies but with Evel it was different. Sure, he was older and he had broken himself so many times I couldn't begin to guess but I never thought he would die for some reason. One of my fondest memories is playing with the Evel Knievel Stunt cycle with my brother. That toy was a prize posession for us. When we were growing up Evel Knievel represented something more than just a man, he was the real deal. And I gotta say I was very depressed when I heard this tragic news. I am sad that when I have kids one day they won't have anyone like Evel Knievel to inspire and fill them with awe the way Evel did for me and my brother.
