Butte, Montana. Krystal and I rode from Butte to Fairmont Hot Springs, towards Anaconda. We rode along the Big Hole River towards Wise River with our final destination being our good friend John S’s house. There we met his pet pig named Bacon. It was a beautiful day to be on a motorcycle and is the one ride we both remember as “special” and will never forget.

Everywhere: We have ridden in almost every state in America during our seventeen years together. In addition, Evel has ridden in many places abroad.

For Love of the Game, Talladega Nights, We Are Marshall, and ANY Western movies ever produced.

For Evel it is anything written by Lee Strobel; for Krystal it is any good mystery or autobiography.

Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Roger Miller, Garth Brooks, Mark Wills, Tim McGraw, Joe Nichols, Neil Diamond……

It has been an exciting and adventurous journey for Krystal and I these sixteen years and we would not change any of it. The experiences of life only help to mold your future….if we had not been through the difficult and trying times we probably would have never arrived at the place we are now. We appreciate each other more now than ever before and realize that no day is a guarantee but rather a gift that we must cherish as you are never promised tomorrow.

We have two special doggies…Squirt and Rocket. They have traveled all over the USA with us and represent “our children”. Evel has four children: Kelly, Robbie, Tracey and Alicia. In addition he is blessed with 11 grandchildren and one greatchild and is extremely proud of them all!

Golf, Western movies, betting on football, keeping in touch with special friends, learning about God and continuing with the legacy of negotiating that "perfect" business deal!

Joey Chitwood, Joe Lewis

Krystal's response: The day of our wedding… I watched Evel ride up the sidewalk on his motorcycle along the fountains at Caesars Palace Hotel while looking as handsome as the day I met him some seven years prior. I knew how hard it was for him, considering how sick he was during that time, to make that experience look carefree and easy. He truly made me proud and I felt honored to be the person for which he felt the need to impress on that most very special day!

My father owned a gas station way back when which I own now.I remember seeing Evel for the first time and I was hooked. My Dad bought me a yZ 80, I wanted to be like Evel,I think every kid did.I put two cars side by side between two mounds of stone behind the shop and jumped them. They were small , a Volkswagen and a falcon. He will always be in my heart.I have been riding ever since and hope to untill whenever.Ride Free

Evel was an inspiration to me too. I remember watching him jumping in the 70's.

Then dragging my bike out on the gravel road in front of the house. The
MX80 was stuck on full revs and top gear, so you rode it on the kill
switch (dad wasn't much for maintenance).

I set up a plank of wood for a ramp about 1-2ft high, got a big pile of
bale twine out of the hay shed. Pushed the bike back about 100m roll
start (Burt Munroe title), got my brother to light the bale twine,
behind the ramp, and flew at it. Great lauch celared the fire easily,
only to forget to shut the kill switch as i left the ramp, causing the
bike to rotate mid air and land on the back wheel on the gravel ridge
and step out sideways from underneath. Needless to say fair bit of
gravel was fed into my hip, down the jeans. Still remember my family
scrubbing the gravel out in the bath of detol.

So had a bit of a wake for Evel yesterday. Watched every vid i could find and got
the bike out for a fang around the back yard, after a good dose of
Whiskey and beer chasers.

Sorry for your families loss.

RIP Evel you will always be with me.

Cheers

Kem

I say we all need to organize a cruise in Evel's memory!  What better way to remember him?

Long live Evel!

When I was a kid I had a Evel Knievel doll with the bike. It was the coolest thing I owned. He embodied true grit and determination. In my head I am still that young with the same aspirations and dreams. Thanks for the memories and god speed. Your legend will live on.
