Evel Knievel is the reason I ride. Still wish that I had my stunt cycle along with my rock-em sock-em robots. Met Evel in Sturgis 2002, and met Robbie in New Mexico at the semi truck jump.

iam new to this site and i just want to say that robert craig knievel was and still is the biggest inspiration in my life to continue on with motorcycle stunting. i may not have been born for his whole carrer but i damned sure knew who he was when  i was old enough to remember cause my dad is still a huge fan. we both come from a kennewick wa which is about 45 mins from moses lake where he did his first jump. we are very sadend by his lose and our condolences go out to his entire family. he will be missed greatly forever but the impact that he had on todays society and motorcycle stunt community will never change. he is the one and only number one. I have been riding bikes for almost forty years.  Evel is and always will be somebody I've admired for his amazing life and motorcycle skills. He was intuitive about riding and you could see it.  He was one with the bike like it was a part of him.  I have always tried to ride like Evel, from my early efforts at jumping over anything that stopped moving for more than a second, to riding street bikes as fluidly as possible.  This was what make Evel the best, he made riding look as easy as walking.  I'm sorry this took over a month to post a comment on Evel's passing but death is nothing new to me and I morn the loss of every friend who's died and I considered Evel to be a kindred spirit.  I wish his vast family will someday be at ease at his passing so early on earth (and it will) but you all have the greatest memories of him and he will live on as long as one of us remembers him.

Most sincerely, Gary Workman

I am a 47 year old male and I have to tell you, I shed tears for a guy I never met. He was the last American Legend. Nobody tougher. Such an inspiartion to me that I have been riding scoots since I got a drivers license. I owe Evel for a lifetime of joy and freedom, without him I may have never sat on a bike. I hope his show continues in Heaven. God Bless Robert Craig Knievel.

I would personally like to send my regards the family of Mr.Knievel. I was a great admirer of Evel and hoped to one day to meet him. Now,that will not happen,I guess I got something to look forward to in heaven. Mr.Knievel was my hero. I am truly saddened by your loss as you must be. I do know that as long as he lives in my heart and in my memories, his spirit will never die. I wish the world had more heroes like him,God knows we need them.

Evel Knievel was my childhood idol.  He was a man before his time.  He didn’t ride a yz250, have espn’s budget or practice in a foam pit.  Evel jumped Dodges, Mack trucks, buses and fountains in parking lots on a Harley Davidson wearing a leather jacket.  No guts, no glory.  He is without a doubt the greatest motorcycle dare devil that will have ever lived.  You cannot top Evel Knievel, ever.  He talked the talk and walked the walk.  The legend of Evel Knievel will live forever.

EVEL,

I remember seeing you jump in the Houston Astrodome when I was a kid..............I knew then, you had more guts than anyone I have ever seen or known on two wheels. I have ridden motorcycles most of my life and continue to do so today. I'm all busted up, broke a few bones and don't have a collarbone in my left shoulder just from riding motorcycles. I just dust myself off and get back on after I heal up, like you did. My love for riding continues today and I turn wrenches for a Harley dealer for a living. I have your signed autographs and I look at them everyday to remind myself of a Hero, a Legend that will live forever in my heart. Riding Harley's is in my blood and will continue to be until the day I die!

You will never be forgotten EVEL!!!!!

Steve

Krystal and family, we are praying for you all daily.  Trust in the Lord God.  His Holy Spirit will strenghten you and give you peace.  I lost my Father the first week of December in 1994 so I know how much losing someone so close can hurt so much, especially this time of year.  I grew up with Evel Knievel and I have passed him along to my 10 year old son through the DVDs and playsets that I have kept over the years.  His flame will never burn out and the memories will never fade.  God bless you

Evel Knievel, you were one of the last real American icons left.  I can still remember your famous jumps back when I was a kid.  You ranked up there among the true Americans who left an impact on many others, not to mention being an icon to our motorcyclist community today.  Rest in Peace!

My Mom took all 5 of us kids to see you jump in San Francisco at the Cow Palace.  I will never forget how you made us feel that night.  We Saw your Trailer with the Fancy fur carpeting and thought Wow!  Our hearts were all united when you made that jump.  That was the night you almost de capatated yourself because of the layout of the exit through the passway.  My Brother and I like everyone else in the stands stood and watched you in amazement.  You had everyone on that bike that night.  We paid to see you make it and you did.  When you landed into the hay bales in the hallway, my Brother and I were trying to help pick up the Bike. For me , that was one of  the greatest memories in my childhood and for that, I Thank you.  Soar high with the Angel's Evil God Bless you Sir.
